Stolen Flash art/code

I'm kingtommy, I made a flash game called Zombie Horde (actually part of a 3-part series so far) and it actually got a good deal of popularity in its time. Anyway...

A "developer" on this site has stolen art and code from various games, including one that I put a lot of effort into making a couple years ago. Here's a link to the game in question:

http://nonoba.com/chessewhizkid/test/dbf902679d1d43e8a409ab46a63e5440

Here's a link to the original game:
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/291952

And here's a link to the website where I found it:
http://www.kongregate.com/games/Chessewhizkid/mytiplayer-co-op-alpha
He claimed to remove the art, but we'll see how that goes.

It just infuriates me that some clown can decompile my flash work and slap it together with some other stolen code and then attempt to call it a game.

Nobody on this site cares that "developers" are stealing art from real developers' games?

I'm sure your problem is genuine but there are very few mods who have the power to deal with this sort of thing, you would be better off emailing one of the Admins directly and reporting the user via their profile.

Retarded? You have obviously never put any real effort into anything and had some random nobody developer come along and steal it.

EDIT: Brandon? Brandon Nguyen, by chance? The same Brandon Nguyen that appears to be teamed up with the guy that stole my game? If that's the case, then I perfectly understand why you'd think nobody cares.

Thanks. I went through the steps listed in the FAQ to report him. I hope this is fixed soon.

Are these forums not very active? I'm finding it very difficult to understand why this didn't get more replies. You may as well be throwing babies off of tall buildings if you think it's cool to steal somebody's work.

If you don't see the problem with jacking someone's work, then I have to say, I think the only thing stupid and retarded here is you.

And use some punctuation so I don't have to re-read your post 5 times to derive its meaning.

Kingtommy, while we understand that you are angry that someone stole your work, it would be best to have just used the report system to begin with.

Please do not needlessly insult other users as a result of your anger.

Has the user removed your graphics?

I reported his game, and I mentioned that I did.

I started this thread in hopes that some moderator or what-have-you would see this and check the link and see the issue a bit quicker.

I'd like to point out that anything I said resembling an insult was far from needless. If you want to see "needlessly insult"ing, have a look at Cheesewizkidd's friend here, noobbuster.

I tend to find that manners are very much under-rated, and pehaps all of this could have been avoided if you had just sent a polite email to him, asking him to remove the game in question kingtommy...

My first attempt was being polite on Kongregate (where I had originally found the game). Cheese actually asked if he could use art from my game, or if I' collaborate with him to make a multiplayer Flash game. I replied no to both. I later discovered that Cheese had used my art and code anyway (in another game that's since been removed from Kongregate) and put my art in the game mentioned in this post. I asked him to remove it.

Cheese just insisted that nothing was stolen (even though I was far from the first person to suggest that it was). He later tried telling me that I gave him the source to use freely on Newgrounds. This never happened, and I asked him to offer proof, which of course he couldn't.

After a while I guess he realized he was backed into a corner and started the "this is stupid, you're retarded" thing like noobbuster here. That was when I started seeking out the source of the game and was led here. That was also when I realized that politeness and logic don't work with people like this guy.

Don't think I'm just some jackass that scours the internet searching for people using my game. I'm usually a nice and open guy. But when I come across something of mine in somebody else's game, I want it out.

As you suggested, I'll try politeness first. It usually works because people are smart enough to see their error. That's not the case at all here.

Has this issue been resolved yet? If you can show me some of these conversations regarding your denial of use of art and code, I'll remove the game.
